Participation in the IV Latin American Biennial of Contemporary Jewelry

The collective Farei Joias, composed of artists dedicated to artisanal and organic jewelry, presented the “Acrisolamento H2O” collection at the IV Latin American Biennial of Contemporary Jewelry. The group aimed to create jewelry that goes beyond aesthetics, addressing themes such as water preservation and natural resources. The collective’s creative diversity resulted in unique pieces that reflect their commitment to environmental responsibility and the appreciation of artisanal jewelry. A special highlight goes to Lucineire Feltrin, who presented the “Vitória-Regia” collection, produced entirely with organic materials, reaffirming the connection between art and nature.

About the IV Latin American Biennial of Contemporary Jewelry

The IV Latin American Biennial of Contemporary Jewelry is one of the continent’s most prestigious events, bringing together jewelry designers, artists, and collectives from across Latin America to celebrate creativity and innovation in artisanal jewelry. Organized by Joyeros Argentinos and Joyabrava Chile, the Biennial highlights jewelry not just as an accessory, but as an artistic expression and a tool for social and cultural questioning.

Each edition of the Biennial addresses current and urgent themes, such as environmental responsibility, cultural identity, and connections with nature. These themes guide the creation of the pieces exhibited, offering the public a contemporary view of jewelry that transcends traditional and commercial use. In the 2024 edition, the central theme focuses on the preservation of natural resources, exploring ecologically responsible ways of creating art and reflecting on the human impact on the environment.

Lucineire Feltrin’s participation in the Biennial, in collaboration with Farei Joias, marks a significant point in her journey as a jewelry artist

Exhibition Acrisolamento H2O - Vitória-Régia Collection

The Acrisolamento H2O exhibition, created in partnership with the Farei Joias collective, is a tribute to nature’s capacity for regeneration and purification. Inspired by the water lily, known for purifying water, Lucineire Feltrin crafted her jewelry collection. The concept originated from a consultation, where the artist decided to begin with a brass ring representing the flower’s bud.

Using recycled materials like silver, brass, and Brazilian gemstones, the collection reflects the blend of environmental preservation and beauty, developed over six months.

Each piece pays homage to the fleeting beauty of the water lily, with its two-day blooming cycle, celebrating the strength of nature and femininity through ancient artisanal techniques to create unique and sustainable jewelry.

This aquatic plant, with its immense floating leaves, is known for its natural water-purifying properties, filtering impurities and oxygenating its surroundings. The water lily, a symbol of resilience and renewal, inspired Lucineire to explore the beauty of artisanal jewelry combined with environmental responsibility.

Each piece in the collection has been carefully crafted using recycled materials, including silver, brass, and Brazilian gemstones. The use of sustainable materials reinforces the collection’s central message: the urgent need to respect and preserve our natural resources. In a world where water and other essential elements are increasingly at risk, Acrisolamento H2O invites the public to reflect on our role in protecting the planet.

The jewelry in the collection not only represents the beauty of natural forms but also carries a profound narrative of balance, harmony, and respect for nature. Thus, the Vitória-Régia collection goes beyond aesthetics, presenting a conscious approach to jewelry, where every detail reflects the union of art and sustainability, highlighting Lucineire Feltrin’s commitment to creating pieces that inspire a connection with the environment.
